We are pleased to announce that the International Conference of the Bulgarian Society of Biomechanics, “BIOMECHANICS DAYS-2016,” in cooperation with the Institute of Mechanics and Biomechanics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences will be held in Sofia (Bulgaria) from the 4th to the 5th of November 2016.
The conference “Biomechanics Days” was officially initiated in 2012 and was repeated successfully in 2014, with the increased interest motivating the decision to organize the upcoming International Conference.
One of the main aims of the conference is to create the opportunity for students, PhD-students, young researchers and scientists to exchange ideas and novel methods through the organized Young Investigators Award Competition (YIAC), named in honor of the academician Georgy Brankov, founder of biomechanics in Bulgaria.
TOPICS
Conference topics focus on classical as well as modern methods for investigation and modeling of biomechanical systems with applications in science, engineering and sport. They include but are not limited to:
Mechanics of biological tissues and systems;
Rheology of suspensions and physiological flows;
Functional tissue engineering;
Computational biomechanics;
Cellular and molecular biomechanics;
Biomechanics and gait control;
Sports biomechanics;
Dental biomechanics;
Biomaterials;
Applications of Biomechanics in: mechatronics, robotics, bioengineering, biotechnology, medical physics and techniques, man-machine interaction.
